I wrote this song at about the age of 21. I had a winter job building pallets out on West Kimberly Rd. in Davenport, IA. I loved how peaceful the job was and how it got me in shape throwing around that nail gun all day. When I had jobs like this, I would write a lot of lyrics in my head. This one was a direct result. The cover art by John Cole Born is a portrayal of the actual building, which has now been torn down.

Vocals and guitar were recorded at Ocean Way Nashville Studios. PT Houston played B3 organ, as well as additional Guitar; Mark Prentice played keyboards at Off The Row Recording Studio in Franklin Tennessee. Claire Finley with "Playing For Change" sent me bass tracks from Key West Florida, and Dave Bloom played drums in Dallas, Texas. It was mixed and mastered by PT Houston at Off The Row Studios.
